We had 65 people sign up to join us for a Water Buffalo Degree on Feb 2nd. This is an event based on the Flintstones Cartoon. It is open to men and women and even children age 12+. The cost was $40 per person. That included admission to the event from 12pm-4pm as well as the official water buffalo hat member card, and food afterwards. Those who attended were able to use it as an official member for Halloween or any other time they see fit. Sunday Feb 9th we watched the Superbowl on 4 different TVs. Friday Feb 14th we had our annual Valentines Party. Ribeye or Chicken were the two options and we sold out of both. REMEDY band performed from 8pm-11pm. Sunday Feb 15th, we participated in the "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" to help raise funding for the Muncie Mission. We were able to raise and donate $300 for the event and we had nine members participate in the walk.
Saturday March 8th, we had our ANNUAL ALL YOU CAN EAT FISH FRY. this year was the first weekend in LENT. We served from NOON-7pm. 120 lbs of COD was served. $12 for all you can eat fish, homemade coleslaw, and fries. We also offered all you can eat chicken strips instead of fish for the same price. Children 10 and under ate for $7. Hotdog, fries and applesauce for $5. Saturday March 15th we had a St. Patty Party. We had an all you can eat Irish Stew for $5. We had Green Beer, a keg, mix drink options, and Karaoke DJ from 7-10pm.
On May 2nd, we celebrated the Kentucky Derby with a themed dinner of a "hot Brown" meal as well as a NOBLE Race. We followed that up the next day by adding five new members to the growing "HILLBILLY SHRINERS". We also watched the Kentucky Derby on TV and two of our members picked the winning horse. On May 31st, we also had a FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT and Vehicle Light Competition. We showed the original Willy Wonka and the Sandlot.
We started off the month with a rummage sale. On Saturday June 21st we had a Motorcycle Charity Ride starting in Anderson and ended at the Murpah Shrine Club. We had "The Collectors" playing live music and served pulled pork, coleslaw, and baked beans. The next day a group of the Murpah staff competed in a 5K in Noblesville in order to help promote our organization. On the 28th we had another movie night. This time we showed |The Goonies.
We held our annual Murpah Shrine Club Golf Tournament. We had rain come through and cause us to lose almost two hours of the tournament, but we still had a great time while we were there and raised money. We also held a FREEMASON ONLY Texas Hold 'Em Tournament.
We had a Hillbilly Ball and Judo Tournament.
We participated in the Oct 18th BSU Parade and held our annual "Trunk or Treat" again.
We were interviewed by BSU and they did a video and article about our activities and held a holiday craft bazaar on Sat the 15th.
December 2nd is the Ducks Unlimited Bingo
December 7th is the Fez Mates Teddy Bear, Tea, and Toy Drive from 2pm-5pm
December 11th is the Prime Trust X-mas Event.
December 19th is the Murpah Shrine Club Christmas Party. Doors open at 5pm for MEMBERS. Public can come in at 7:30 for the REMEDY BAND starting at 8pm..
